Impact

Supporting the Energy Transition

GEM's core business—providing infrastructure for renewable diesel, SAF, biodiesel, and ethanol—directly supports the decarbonization of transportation. These fuels offer significant greenhouse gas reductions compared to conventional fossil fuels.

Renewable Diesel

Up to 80% GHG reduction

Drop-in replacement for petroleum diesel. Used in heavy-duty trucks, construction equipment, marine vessels, and locomotives.

Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF)

Up to 85% GHG reduction

Critical for aviation decarbonization. Drop-in fuel compatible with existing aircraft and infrastructure.

Biodiesel

Up to 75% GHG reduction

Widely used in blends (B5, B20) and as pure fuel (B100) in diesel engines. Domestically produced from agricultural oils.

Ethanol

Up to 45% GHG reduction

Most widely used biofuel in the U.S. Blended into gasoline (E10, E15, E85) to reduce carbon intensity.
